Quartararo Ukir Rekor Lagi, Rossi Semakin Tertinggal

Quartararo again drew attention while undergoing the Jerez MotoGP test on
Monday (05/5/2019). The French driver managed to break the record for the
fastest lap at the Jerez Circuit.
The rookie carved out the best
lap time of 1 minute 36,379 seconds, or 0.5 seconds faster than the time when
he took the pole at Jerez MotoGP on Saturday (05/04/2019). The result drove him
to break the record as the youngest driver to gain pole in MotoGP history
LCR Honda rider Cal Crutchlow was
able to show off speed at the start of the session. He became the first driver
to record time under 1 minute 37 seconds.
However, Crutchow's position did
not last long. After Quartararo returned to the track, about 30 minutes later
managed to surpass Crutchlow's record time.
Quartararo finally finished the
MotoGP test session with a 0.418 second advantage over Crutchlow. The third
position is occupied by Quartararo's teammate Franco Morbidelli. Both drivers
are separated by a margin of 0.714 seconds.
Jerez MotoGP champion Marc
Marquez took the lead in the early hours. He devoured 75 laps throughout the
day, and had finished second behind Quartararo. However, Baby Alien finally
closed today's session by finishing seventh.
Monster Energy Yamaha rider
Valentino Rossi was scattered far behind, precisely in 17th position. Note the
time is 1.677 seconds adrift of Fabio Quartararo.
